ITN Conference attendees discuss challenges and opportunities in tough economic times
This year’s ITN Global Supply Chain Conference held last month was well attended by leading food industry retailers, manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and foodservice operators who met to discuss ways to deal with the current economic crisis. Attendees learned how their peers are rising to the occasion and finding new ways to grow sales, improve supply chain quality, enforce compliance, streamline complex procurement processes and strengthen trading partner relationships.
With so many current and potential customers in the room, the attendees were also very interested to learn more about the strategic direction of the “new iTradeNetwork” following the mergers with Amphire, Barbox and Instill last year. The rich discussions around traceability (learn more), COOL compliance and data standards gave the attendees the chance to hear how ITN is working with industry groups in support of these important initiatives.
Many of the discussions were focused around the impact of information sharing, better integration of key business processes, and the opportunities for all trading partners to leverage technology, a clean data foundation and collaboration to improve their financial performance all so they can deliver on their brand promise.
To all those that attended, thank you for your participation and continuing support of ITN. We are already in the planning stages for our next event and look forward to sharing more details with you in the near future. Contact us today for a 2009 ITN Conference recap
