Did you know ITN satisfied the first 5 steps of PTI?

If you're looking for a central location that pulls it all together, please visit iTradeNetwork's Traceability Resource Center. ITN's Traceability Resource Center provides the latest information on: pending government legislation, industry initiatives such as the Produce Traceability Initiative (PTI), Country of Origin Labelling (COOL) audit status, recalls, ITN's approach to food safety and traceability and ITN’s upcoming GDSN Data Pool Certification initiative.

ITN has stayed ahead of the PTI curve to ensure our application’s comply with evolving industry initiatives, giving our customers the functionality they need to execute traceability requirements seemlessly. We achieve this through our Order Management Solution (OMS), which many of you use today. OMS has been enhanced with many features to enable ITN customers to meet the milestones set by PTI. We recently completed a successful pilot through PTI milestone 5 with one of our major grocery retail customers, proving that our OMS solution meets the requirements defined by PTI:

  • Milestone #1
Obtain Company Prefix - ITN OMS supports the company prefix requirement at company level.

  • Milestone #2
Assign GTIN Numbers - ITN product catalog supports GTIN assignment at item level.

  • Milestone #3
Provide GTIN Information to Buyers - ITN data synchronization supports electronic passing of GTIN information to customers (no spreadsheets required).

  • Milestone #4
Show Human Readable Information on Case – ITN ASN supports PTI compliant case and pallet labels.

  • Milestone #5
Encode Information in a Barcode on Case – ITN ASN support PTI compliant case and pallet labels.

ITN has taken a further step by implementing the 'Leafy Green' declaration required for Confirmation of Sales documents for orders crossing the border into Canada. Finally, we have implemented a 'real-time' utility that allows our customers (suppliers and buyers) to determine in seconds where suspected products were shipped from and delivered to – 'one-step forward and one-step backward' traceability is.
